Movement Labs delivers efficient, high-impact programs while measuring results down to the cost per net Democratic vote. We rigorously test both traditional and unconventional interventions to learn which approaches actually move voters, using methods that are data-driven, scalable, and cost-effective.
Contest Every Race
Contest Every Race (CER) recruits and supports potential candidates at scale. Since 2018, CER has recruited over 11,000 Democrats to run for office across the country, helping over 43% win their race by connecting them to resources, building long-term organizing infrastructure, and mobilizing voters in rural and non-urban areas where Republicans have historically gone unchallenged.
Scaled, Evidence-Based Texting
Movement Labs uses texting to persuade and turn out voters at scale in targeted races across the country. Drawing on findings from 110+ randomized experiments, we deploy the highest-impact approaches: reaching the right voters, at the right moment, with messages proven to move them. Done right, SMS and MMS campaigns remain a high impact, cost-effective tool.
Our goal: shift enough vote share to make a real difference in key House, Senate, and gubernatorial races in 2026. We know it's possible. In 2024, our programs resulted in 135,277 net Democratic votes in key Presidential, Senate and Congressional battlegrounds, validated by an independent 3rd party analysis.

Movement Labs runs a continuous portfolio of experiments and pilots — testing new messengers like comedians,, emerging technologies, and novel organizing approaches. When something works, we share what we learn with the broader Democratic ecosystem. Our goal is to stay ahead of the curve and give campaigns and organizations access to the next generation of winning tactics.
